The Very First Browser-Based Blockchain. Nimiq – the right way to fully understand the blockchain tech

Wants to Unleash the Full Potential of Blockchain Tech

Day by day, as you get more into bitcoin, ethereum and the blockchain technology, you will understand more about its benefits and how it could shape the future. This directly leads you to be more passionate about it and tell someone else and try to explain it.

The second person in this context could be a not-tech guy that when hearing about a decentralized digital ledger that records data over time, is publicly available, and can’t be deleted, the blockchain and its ecosystem, first will not understand it and second will look funny at you.

  • The Lack of simplicity – is what Nimiq team think that is the barrier of the blockchain adoption problem. So they got together and built a structure/ecosystem with a friendly-use and easy-to-approach. Get to know Nimiq, the world first browser-based blockchain.

As quoted by the creator and architect himself – Robin Linus:

The success of projects such as Bitcoin and Ethereum have proven the enormous transformative potential of Blockchains. But yet you still can’t pay for your coffee with cryptocurrencies. Nimiq is a next-generation blockchain changing that by introducing the missing ingredient for mass adoption: Simplicity.

It will be Used by the World

Lets say, as a non-tech guy, the barrier that does not let you use the full power of a blockchain technology, is the emptiness of understand-ability therefore you have to use the services of a third party that shapes, facilitates the process.

Nimiq is made in that way that could be used by the mass. The problems as transaction fees, different software’s to learn and master are taken away using Nimiq as it is written by core with JavaScript the web’s native language. And its protocol lets you do off-chain transactions so the fees in this case are low as it possible – nearly free.

All you have to do to start mining Nimiq is use its built-in browser wallet as it has a peer-to-peer global web based exchange you to turn Nimiqs into currency.

Some of the proposed ideas so far involve helping content creators monetize time spent on their website by mining Nimiq, timestamping documents, and using Nimiq as an improved version of popular services. Some of the best possibilities may not even be imaginable yet.

Nimiq’s Upcoming Token Sale

The Nimiq Network has an operational Betanet live (https://nimiq.com/betanet) that, in only seven days, already has over 12,000 browser-based nodes from all over the world. If you’d like to be a part of the project, a token sale has been announced for June 28. It will last four weeks until July 26. The token sale will help fund further development of the Mainnet, which is expected to go live in December this year.
