With the recent fall in the price of crypto, one may be thinking the end of digital currency has come. However, there is a piece of information becoming widespread in the crypto space, which appears to be favourable. PornHub, the world’s largest adult entertainment websites with over 115M+ daily users, has indicated it is accepting ZenCash (Zen) and Tron (TRX).
In an announcement on Twitter PornHub specified: “We’re excited to announce that were now accepting @zencashofficial and @Tronfoundation as crypto currency payment for Pornhub Premium!!”
Earlier, PornHub adopted Verge (XVG). Though, before Verge could seal the deal, it announced a crowdfunding program which was purposely designed to achieve the surprising partnership with a firm that the team called a “global organization” with a “vast network of high traffic sites”.
While calling for monetary support from users, Verge team said that the fund would be used “to initiate a massive marketing campaign across multiple networks” after the partnership was unveiled.
After the announcement, PornHub declared that Verge is the future the porn site has been waiting for.
“In our efforts to keep current with our community’s privacy and payment preferences, Pornhub will now be accepting Verge as a means of payment for services like Pornhub Premium and more, on our platforms,” the entertainment community stated. But, it became surprising when PornHub announced it has started accepting ZenCash and Tron.
Remember Litecoin founder Charlie Lee casted aspersion on PornHub’s acceptance of Verge alone when he said:
“Turns out Verge’s super expensive partnership was PornHub. “we think it has gained enough steam for us to penetrate the market.” penetrate. @Pornhub, enough with the foreplay. Time to accept the real cryptocurrencies like BTC, LTC, and XMR.”
Although, PornHub yielded to the call of Charlie Lee, but it failed to adopt Bitcoin, Litecoin and Monero, which were demanded by Litecoin founder.
Note that PornHub is under MindGeek, the world’s largest adult entertainment website network. MindGeek has around 15 adult entertainment websites including Pornhub and Brazzers. The two digital coins are now accepted on the network, including TrafficJunky, and Pornhub’s traffic and advertising network.
Robert Viglione, ZenCash Co-Founder, who spoke on the partnership said the cryptocurrency firm is excited to provide a private payment option for over 115 million daily users on the MindGeek websites.
Meanwhile, there has been no official announcement from the Tron community on the latest partnership. However, the cryptocurrency community believes the adoption is a welcome development for the crypto space.
