Virtual currencies are being used in different industries and by several companies. This time, TapJets will add Ripple (XRP), and Litecoin (LTC) to its payment options. In order to do so, the company decided to drop Verge (XVG) after making a 3-day Twitter poll.
TapJets Accepts Ripple and Litecoin Payments
TapJets Inc is an American company that offers customers to submit private charter request just with their smartphones. In order to provide a more seamlessly process, TapJets offered its users to pay for the services requested in Bitcoin. Later it added Verge, but it decided to drop it for XRP and LTC.

The poll conducted by the enterprise showed an important support for Ripple (44%) and Litecoin (35%). Verge obtained 20% of the 57,054 total votes. The tweet had more than 2,400 comments and 1,893 likes at the time of writing.
The implementation will take some time and it will depend on how Ripple and Litecoin teams support the company to start accepting these virtual currencies.
The company explained:
“Some of this activity would depend on how agile development teams of XRP/LTC are to our requests. It is our goal to allow TapJets clients to use these alt-coins on June 1,2018. We have been in contact with LTC team already and will be reaching out to XRP team on Monday.”
The options for the poll have been selected after receiving an important number of request from the cryptocurrency community and its clients. The feedback of its customers was also an important point for choosing Ripple and Litecoin – which will be both working side by side with Bitcoin.
At the same time, TapJets’ CEO, Eugene Kesselman, expressed its support for the cryptocurrency and the XVG community as well. Moreover, he promised that the company will be working so as to include additional virtual currencies to the platform. Verge it is the priority. As soon as there is a possibility to incorporate new virtual currencies, XVG will be the first one.
“I want to recognize the Verge (XVG) community,” said Mr. Kesselman. “You have a strong following, great feedback, and lots of potentials. You have forced us to think about significant changes to UX so that additional coins can be added in the future without compromising a checkout experience.”
Worldwide Airlines Accept Virtual Currencies
This is not the first time that an airline is accepting cryptocurrency payments. The company Star Jets International is also accepting bitcoin payments for private flights. The company allows business and customers to pay in Bitcoin for flights. The enterprise owns more than 5000 jets in the United States, and 15000 worldwide.
Its CEO, Ricky Sitomer, said that Bitcoin is becoming an accepted method of payment and that they want to offer their clients the possibility to pay via the famous virtual currency.
In the past, LOT Polish Airlines, accepted Bitcoin payments, but the company stopped accepting them later.
An important Japanese Airline, known as Peach Aviation, has plans to support Bitcoin payments during this year. The main intention was to add Bitcoin support at the end of 2016, but due to price fluctuations the company decided to wait some more time.
