This was due to a controversy that arose as a result of Afri&#8217;s announcement to abandon the Ethereum project.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/twitter.com\/5chdn\/status\/1097228987871436800<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/twitter.com\/5chdn\/status\/1097786258976325632<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Afri&#8217;s resignation came after he wrote a series of Tweets saying that Polkadot could surpass <a href=\"https:\/\/ethereumworldnews.com\/ethereum-2-0-pure-casper-and-never-seen-before-scalability-vitalik-buterin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ethereum 2.0<\/a>. He compared both projects while pointing out specific weaknesses of the Ethereum network. Of course, Afri&#8217;s opinions annoyed the part of some members of the community, who demanded that he withdraw from the project. Jameson speculates that Afri ended up giving in to the pressures and decided to take one step back.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I&#39;m so angry and disappointed in the Ethereum community. This user remarked that to avoid repeating situations like the one experienced with Afri, it would be advisable for the critical members of Ethereum to make a Conflict of Interests Statement.<\/p>\n<h3>Vitalik Buterin: 80% ETH<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Vitalik Buterin welcomed this proposal and responded quickly, revealing to the community the tokens he has invested in and the proportion of his investments:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">&#8220;Here&#8217;s a quick one from me:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Non-ethereum-ecosystem tokens: BCH, BTC, DOGE, ZEC; total value &lt; 10% the value of my ETH<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Non-ETH ethereum ecosystem tokens: KNC, MKR, OMG, REP, total value &lt;10% the value of my ETH<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Significant corporate shareholdings: Clearmatics, Starkware [edit, forgot to put this in before]<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Revenue in the last 12 months other than ethereum foundation salary: a few advisor tokens (included in above)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Non-financial interests: friends in the ecosystems represented by the above projects, as well as some non-token ethereum ecosystem orgs (eg.
