Apart from the medicinal value found on cannabis, Pepper is also banking on the fact that the \u201cherb\u201d is \u201ccontrolled properly\u201d possibly contrasting its control to that of <a href=\"https:\/\/ethereumworldnews.com\/crypto-markets-see-red-as-bitcoin-btc-plunges-in-12-billion-purge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Bitcoin  (opens in a new tab)\">Bitcoin <\/a>which has a lot of grey areas. Confident of her stand, the wealth advisor said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>\u201cIf you want to be in something that\u2019s very growthy, and actually legitimate as it is legalized and controlled properly, I think this is the place to go.\u201d <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cannabis Has A Better ROI YTD<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Fortunately, Pepper has statistics to support why it\u2019s time to ditch Bitcoin for cannabis. For instance, <a href=\"https:\/\/ethereumworldnews.com\/coinmarketcap-index-bloomberg-nasdaq-2019\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"NASDAQ (opens in a new tab)\">NASDAQ<\/a>, the second-largest stock exchange in the world, has listed Canadian companies \u2013 Canopy Growth and the Cronos Group \u2013 which deal in cannabis. Since they started trading on the stock exchange, Canopy Growth and Cronos Group have registered 65 and 115 percent growth respectively on their stock year-to-date (YTD).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Carol categorically said that the gains\ncannabis would amass on its way up will not be diluted. This was in response to\nwhether \u201cweed\u201d will experience a pump and bust wave such as the one recorded by\nBitcoin in 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2019\/02\/22\/forget-bitcoin-cannabis-is-the-place-to-go-says-us-wealth-advisor.html?__source=twitter%7Cmain\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">added<\/a> that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>\u201cMany burgeoning cannabis companies control the supply chain from the growth of the plant through to the final sale of derived oils, cream, and edibles\u2026This was likely to remain an industry trend as guaranteeing a stable level of the chemical within each plant was scientifically tricky.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">But Will The Shift From Bitcoin To \u201cWeed\u201d Happen Any Time Soon? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately, there is no straight answer. This is mostly because cannabis stocks have recently entered the market. And, as is always the case, exciting and new securities or stocks have an awe factor that helps in attracting investors. Additionally, as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.investing.com\/analysis\/the-cannabis-craze-200422729\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">noted<\/a> by investing.com, stocks pertaining to the \u201cherb\u201d \u201care still grossly overvalued when assessing their multiples.\u201d All the same, Bitcoiners are not ready to lose it to cannabis, and they are prepared to attack: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>\u201cThe government controls the marijuana market. It\u2019s still very illegal to grow it in the back yard and sell it at the farmers market. Bitcoin, on the other hand, can&#8217;t be controlled by the government, I could mine it in a room and cash it out at the crypto ATM down the road with impunity.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What of ROI?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking at the return on investment for \u201cweed\u201d and Bitcoin, the former may not be able to unseat Bitcoin, at least not for now. For instance, Bitcoin\u2019s YTD<a href=\"https:\/\/ethereumworldnews.com\/bitcoin-bull-trend-despite-troubles-9000-analysts-note\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" performance (opens in a new tab)\"> performance<\/a> has recorded a 135 percent increase. Since the start of the year, the price of Bitcoin has been increasing with May being its best month so far this year, at some point peaking at over $9,000.
