After reaching the highest levels of fame in the cryptocurrency verse, John McAfee disappears for several days. Being very active on twitter, the community did immediately notice his absence. Today (23rd of June), her revealed he is doing better after fighting for his life in the hospital.

From his twitter post tweet, doctors saved his life after an assassination attempt with poison.
I apologize for my three day absence but I was unconscious for two days at the Vidant Medical Center in North Carolina and just woke up. My enemies maged to spike something that i ingested. However, I am more difficult to kill than anyone can possibly imagine. I am back.

This tweet was followed up with a target-let know post, highlighting that he knows who did it.

Right before the several-days disappearance, McAfee declared that because of SEC Threats he will no longer recommend or work with Initial coin offerings.
“Due to SEC threats, I am no longer working with ICOs nor am I recommending them, and those doing ICOs can all look forward to arrest. It is unjust but it is reality. I am writing an article on an equivalent alternative to ICOs which the SEC cannot touch. Please have Patience.”
The 71 year old McAfee has had some close run ins with cartels and other nefarious groups, and is known to be an advocate of being armed for protection. He has also mentioned how he is never too far from his security team.
